Colchester Foodbank Needs Xmas Present Donations

There are some very good people in Colchester.

Emmaus Colchester and Colchester Foodbank have joined together for a Christmas campaign.

The aim is for the organisations to source 300 presents for Colchester children this Christmas.

Last December saw 310 children pass through the Foodbank based at the Moorside Business Park.

Donations suitable for children aged 0-16 would be most welcome. Any young family at the local Foodbank will be given a voucher to exchange for a Christmas present at Emmaus along Magdalen Street:

“From teddy bears, to toiletries, board games to stationery, donors are kindly asked to bring along brand new, unwrapped presents to the Emmaus office by Friday 15 December. Presents will be wrapped and distributed by Emmaus Colchester staff shortly after this date.”

The Colchester Foodbank was set up in 2008. It is nothing to be proud of that it is still in existence. The work of the volunteers involved however is humbling.

It isn’t just presents that the Colchester Foodbank is in need of. Donations, volunteers and yes, food are always welcome.

Meanwhile if you are over in the Wivenhoe side of town then a Foodbank will be launching on 7 December.

IN WIVENHOE.

Gosh.

There are some very good people in Colchester.

Yep.

Hi, could you please specify where the Emmaus office is? I would like to bring in a toy but I don’t know where to bring it. Thanks.
