So yeah – the ACE Colchester Cultural Crawl is back for a second time on the afternoon of 20th February.
Hurrah!
“We’re doing it again! After the success of the first ever Culture Crawl in October 2012 we’re back with a new programme and… minibuses!”
As a reminder, the aim of the event is to help familiarise both town and gown folk with the many fine arty attractions that Sunny Colch has to offer. It’s the art world equivalent of a pub crawl. Both events end up leaving you enlightened.
Organised collectively by the many Colchester cultural hubs [Ooooh], the starting point at 3pm for the 20th February will be the Art Exchange up at the University.
Cultural crawlers will be able to view exhibitions, and meet both curators and artists. There is even a practical element for the event this year with the chance to get a little arty yourself en route.
Can you tell what it is yet?
It is only when you see the planned route that you realise that Sunny Colch continues to punch above its weight when it comes to cultural delights:
The Art Exchange, firstsite, The Minories, 15 Queen Street, Slack Space and then back to The Lakeside Theatre, where a FREE ticket for the evening production of The 14th Tale awaits you upon your return.
A cultural minibus is also part of the bargain this time round. That’s *cultural* as in the sense that conversation will probably be about all things creative, rather than banging on about being stuck in the traffic as you make your cultural passage down Clingoe Hill.
