Save Energy, Eat Breakfast

“Find out how your business can save money and energy at a free breakfast event.”

…presumably by saving money on the egg and bacon, not to mention electricity, and blagging a full fry up from our friends at Colchester Borough Council.

If only world economics was so simple. And scrumptious.

CBC is hosting a free breakfast event on Friday 9th March, from 8am – 11am. Which just about takes us round to time for early luncheon. Hungary work, this business networking milk round.

The event is aimed at small and medium enterprises around Sunny Colch, and genuinely seems like a worthwhile gathering to try and find out more about energy efficiency in the workplace.

Hosted jointly by the Carbon Trust, CBC add:

“Come along to learn energy reduction techniques and create action plans which will help reduce costs to your business. This is a chance for you to have a one-to-one consultation with our expert trainer and network with other like-minded businesses in your area.

Councillor Nick Barlow, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Sustainability said: We are excited to be working in partnership with The Carbon Trust on this initiative that will save both money and energy for local businesses.

In the current economic climate it’s important to provide local businesses with as much information and assistance as possible to help cut costs. I would encourage all local businesses to come along and learn how making some small changes can generate significant benefits.”

The bacon butties will be lining the stomachs of the Captain’s of Sunny Colch Industry from 7:30am [OUCH] in the Old Library building at the side of the Town Hall. Actually, we suspects that croissants, coffee and chinos may be in order.

Registration is required over here.
